Response from BCIO on Mogadore
We fished this lake last year and while I am not crazy about Akron pay to fish lake concept, it is a nice lake to fish. We took several pictures of the swans, which dominate the lake. Two of the males were fighting right where you cross under the road near the launch area and it was something to see. I thought one was dead for sure but he was most likely exhausted from the fight. We did catch quite a few fish that day under overcast skies and cool weather. A few were on spinners but most hit small plugs. I don't recall anything of size though. Good amount of weeds, as a rule , which we like to fish. I would say it's worth a try but there are other lakes, I prefer to fish.
