Thanks buddy for the great tip!
Hello, I've got a question on lure. Just yesterday I went out to buy some fin-s jerk baits. While I was out I noticed that Berkley makes a power shad!? I wasn't even aware of this until yesterday! Just wandering if you or anyone you know may have used these lures before? If so could you please give me a report on it. I would like to know how it compares to the "unscented" jerk-baits? If you are able please include the best rig for this lure, and hook size.(the lure is 6" long). Just a quick note: The fin-s jerkshad in baby bass color is awesome at Leesville when used in the coves w/o any weight!! Just keep the lure tight to the rocky cover or any timber will work just as well. I have found that the "bigger" rocks along the banks work best. I like to let the lure sit long enough to sink to the base of the rocks, then give it a couple of light "taps" with the rod tips. The lure will come to life almost instantly!! From there just give short quick jerks to mimic a wounded bait fish. Sometimes I'll even pop the lure up out of the water to look like a running minnow, if a bass hits your lure when you do that ........HANG ON!!! Thats just a quick tip on an awesome lure for Leesville!
