BCIO Quick tips:

Nimisila- Work the dam side toward the causeway and reed island slopes.

Berlin- This lake is so big it's a mattter of learning and we still are.  Not enough trips yet. No advise

Findley- Work the cove mouths and deep water on dam side. There is a deep drop off the point near the dam.

Wellington- Work the slopes in the middle of the lakes shallow area.

Mogadore- Work the slopes of all the islands that have deep water near.

Punderson- Plastics along the reed area and lily pads.

West Branch- Run spinners in mouth coves that are deep for pike in spring

New London- Blue gill imitations for smallmouth along rocky shoreline. Walleye too.

Walborn-  The big island has a point with shallows and deep drops on both side. Fish both.

Spencer- This old favorite is still a great place to shorefish with spinners on a warm summer night.

Reports for 2006.

We have had good luck with tubes early on. That seems to be a trend and most are saying you have to work as slow as you can tolerate. Not always easy to do, but true. Wellington gave up fish out of 20 feet on the east slope when NOTHING else worked that day. While some reports indicate action many guys we are talking to "live" at various lakes including even the live bait guys sat it has been tough. Moral of the story? Hang tough!
